Oil on Board 24 x 20"
Bridget Hunter 2012
This is another version of "A Little Bit of Skye". There was something about the first painting that irritated me - so I thought I'd try a second time, same size and same 7 colours but a slightly different composition. In other words I've deviated from the original sketch but think the basic lush greens of Skye are better shown.
Bridget, this is a wonderful painting! I really love your style and think your mastery of green in this is superb! :)
ReplyDeleteThankyou for commenting Susan. I love working with green - all the different warm and cool shades - and it's a good thing since a wettish climate means there's green everywhere. lol
ReplyDeleteBridget, hello there
ReplyDeleteDo love the shades of greens you have used. Would not think to use those, but works really well and really like the composition format !!
Thankou Carole - I just don't like ready mixed greens and enjoy experimenting. Though I admit to using a sap green for sketching though always adulterate with other colours. I've jsut got the mixing bug !!!
DeleteYou are a great artist! I admire very much the way you are painting. Especially the spontaneity is overwhelming. Very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally delighted that you've taken the time to visit and comment Albrecht. Your words are very uplifting . Thankyou so much.
