On the Easel

I've been caught out too often and handed in wet oil paintings protected, thankfully, by glass. So the idea is to have a few ready to go and dry! And leave them alone which is the difficult part.

At the moment I've got 3 paintings laid in and waiting for some sort of next step.
How they'll look at the end I've no idea as paintings seem to go their own way. I can never visualize the finished result , I don't plan. I just get inspired and need to paint.

Hopefully there'll be a reasonably happy ending!
But that means coming up with some interesting titles.

    1. Hi Riki. Nice to "meet" you here. I'm trying to work more than one painting at a time to be less of a paint waster as less time to fouter about!

    1. Thankyou Jane. The colours are those around here in early winter especially the pale grasses as they die back.

  3. Oh, I have NO doubt there will be a happy ending for each for these. Your natural, strong talent is unstoppable. Truly.

    Looking forward to the resolutions!

    1. No pressure then Melinda! It's the next stage that causes the most angst. How to keep the idea going when you so often put in and scrub off.

  4. Ah, the potential of what is one the easel! These pieces are well on their way but I know once you put the brush to the canvas... it all begins again!! Best of luck!!
